Friday and Sabbath

Friday was our snorkeling trip. We got up and drove two and a half ours to a small town where we ate a picnic breakfast and boarded a boat. The boat took us down a river to the ocean. We drove out to an island where we were to go snorkeling. Most of the students did good.  We only had a couple that got seasick and fed the fish. Snorkeling was great. There were lots of fish. Brian was the only one that saw a ray. He and I also saw an eel. On the ride back the kids got to enjoy a downpour and experience how to stay huddled to maintain body warmth. We ran out of gas on the river as several of us had predicted but the captain had already called ahead for fuel so we only had a couple minute wait. When we got back to town we ate pizza ate the riverside restaurant and then headed home.

Sabbath was an emotional day. This was he last morning they would spend with their host families. After they ate breakfast with their host families we sent to sabbath school and church. After church we skyped with several churches. It was fun to see all the kids asking if their parents were at each church. We then ate our last potluck with the community and added a face painting and gift giving time at the end of lunch. We had taken beany babies down with us to give to the kids but it turned out that the adults were happy to receive them as well. It was super fun. After the get together we loadede up the vans and said our good byes. We were then off to our surprise adventure for the seniors. Happy day to all.
